MBtech regularly champions activities and projects within the region, for example through its sponsorship of the “Jugend forscht” competition. The engineering and consultancy service provider for the automotive industry, with its headquarters in Sindelfingen, also supports international development cooperation. On February 2, Henry Kohlstruck, General Manager of MBtech Group GmbH & Co. KGaA, presented a check for more than €4,022 to Ingenieure ohne Grenzen e.V. (Engineers without Borders).

As part of its traditional fundraising campaign at the end of the year, employees from MBtech raised a sum of money that the Board of Management then doubled. “As an engineering service provider, it is especially important to us to be able to support ‘Ingenieure ohne Grenzen’. We want to make our contribution toward sustainably improving the lives of those in need,” continued Kohlstruck. A share of the money will go to Zimbabwe, where it will be used for a school project that involves building two classrooms. The money donated will also go toward a project in the northeast of Ethiopia that helps livestock farmers make a living from their land. The organization works in close cooperation with the local people when carrying out these development projects.
MBtech is thus contributing toward ensuring basic needs are met around the world and to improving living standards. In the process, the company is also continuing the work already carried out by its employees privately. “Since 2012, I have been actively involved in the projects of ‘Ingenieure ohne Grenzen’,” says Armand Tanekou, Calculation Engineer at MBtech. “I know how much these efforts are helping and how the engineering expertise is contributing towards
improving the situation on the ground.”
“The best way to predict the future is to invent it.
Let’s share our passion for technology.”
